Bruce Pennetti will be leading the ensemble.<br /><br />We would like you to attend at least four or five of the seven rehearsals - if not all. Rehearsal times are from 2 - 4 PM. Dates are posted at the end of this email. There will also be 2 dress rehearsals at Bethany on the 6th and 8th of March. The concerts are:<br /><br />-March 9, 2012 7:30PM (Friday) Bethany Lutheran Church, Cherry Hills Village.<br />-March 10, 2012 7:30 PM (Saturday) St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Highlands Ranch.<br /><br />We will be playing the following pieces:<br /><br />“Lass of Aughrim," (The Wandering Folk Harp – Beth Kolle ($25.00)<br />"Flowers of Edinburgh," (Ring of Harps - Nancy Hurrell: CCHS owns multiple copies)<br />"Morning Has Broken," (Heaps O' Harps - Laura Zaerr: CCHS owns multiple copies)<br />"Simple Gifts." (Daniel Burton – 2 part ensemble) ($8.00)<br />"Rock the Cradle" (Arranged by Margot Krimmel) we will accompany the Cherry Creek Chorale.<br />"Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears" finale with the choral.<br /><br />The Harp Society will have to purchase "Simple Gifts" and "The Wandering Folk Harp" unless you choose to buy your own copies. We will be supplied with copies of “Rock the Cradle” and “Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears.”<br /><br />It is important that you let us know as soon as possible so we can acquire the necessary music. Then we'll try out some of those left hand options with the tunes and see what we like. The Celtic Harp Competition will be held in the Folk Music Tent at 10 am on Saturday, September 10th. Sheet music is allowed (bring your own music stand), but harpers are encouraged to perform from memory.
